Some adepts put their training to use less in fights or athletic combinations and more in the clandestine world of spies and criminals. Because adepts are less dependent on weapons, armor, and other equipment than most other adventurers, they enjoy some unique advantages to their spycraft. They are especially talented in the vitally important abilities needed to blend into crowds, pass through weapons checks and remain dangerous on the other side, and quickly escape from pursuers through superior athleticism.
At 3rd level, you learn to blend in wherever you need to, fight with what you have, observe without being observed, and get away cleanly. You gain proficiency with the Stealth, Deception, and Culture skills, thieves’ tools, the disguise Kit,the garrote, and improvised weapons. Improvised weapons are considered adept weapons for you.
At 6th level, you have learned to traverse challenging urban terrain quickly to escape pursuit or catch those you are pursuing. You gain a climb speed equal to your Speed.
Also at 6th level, you refine your ability to surveil others. You gain the Intuitive feat.
At 11th level, your ability to prepare for the worst increases. You gain a free frugal, grade 1 safe house stronghold in any city you visit. This safe house always counts as a haven, but it is temporary. If you visit a new city, you lose the previous safe house and acquire a new one.
If you wish, you may pay to make a stronghold acquired this way permanent. It has the normal cost for a stronghold of its size and type. If you do, it is not lost when you relocate to a different city.
