Fanatics are religious zealots in the extreme, berserkers whose rage is not fueled by mere anger or wrath but by zealous devotion. They are absolutely committed to their faith, and the sight or even thought of those who would defy what they believe in drives them mad with fury. Terrors to the enemies of the faith, fanatics unleash righteous destruction or unholy slaughter where ever they go.
Choose radiant or necrotic damage. At 1st level whenever you enter a rage, you may spend a point of exertion as well. If you do so, you deal an additional 1d4 points of the chosen damage type with all weapon attacks for the duration of your rage.
At 6th level when you critically hit a target you may throw everything into slaying your target, trusting in your faith to defend you. You may expend any accumulated rage hit points and deal additional radiant or necrotic damage with the attack equal to that amount. This damage is not multiplied as part of a critical hit.
At 10th level you gain an expertise die on saving throws against charm or fear effects. In addition, while raging you are resistant to your chosen damage type.
At 14th level, you gain the benefits of a bless spell whenever you enter a rage. This version of the spell counts as 7th level, does not require concentration, and lasts for the duration of the rage or until dispelled. In addition, if you chose radiant as your damage type you gain your choice of the Lawful, Good, or Lawful and Good alignment traits. If you chose necrotic damage you gain your choice of the Evil, Chaotic, or Chaotic and Evil alignment traits
